hashtag#Winnam Aboriginal & Torres Straight Islander Sorry Day Ceremony last Friday on the shores of hashtag#MoretonBay over looking hashtag#Quandamooka Country.

I feel very privilaged to have witneesed the hashtagWinnam Aboriginal & Torres Straight Islander Sorry Day Ceremony last Friday on the shores of hashtagMoretonBay over looking hashtagQuandamooka Country. The speakers were so incredibly moving and included school youth, who are the grandchildren of hashtagStolenGeneration victims, growing up rightfully proud of their identity and heritage.

Following National hashtagSorryDay I reflect on how the unimaginable actions of the past where children were forcably taken from their families to live a life of unknowing and cultural dislocation still has real and ongoing effects today.

I stand with curent generations to forge a brighter future with compassion and action based on listening and self determination.
