Kaunitz Yeung Architecture’s success in creating high levels of community & stakeholder

December 12, 2023

One of the keys to Kaunitz Yeung Architecture‘s success in creating high levels of community & stakeholder ownership in projects is that collaboration is intrinsic to all project stages. We imbed these opportunities into the project design and implementation process.

Ka Wai Yeung with Steve Johnson is leading on going collaboration with the client and existing residents for the new Winnam ATSIC Residential Aged Care in Brisbane. Last month saw some of the residents and board members visit Healthcraft Furniture to test drive some furniture.

We have learnt so much from the WATSIC Board, community and existing Gerogina residents as thier vision for culturally appropriate aged care has come into focus. After almost 18 month of deep engagment and collaboration through the feasibility, design and documentation phases the project is approaching construction early next year.
