New Utopia Art Centre

One of the privileges of the work we are involved with at Kaunitz Yeung Architecture is connecting with amazing people, communities and Countries. It’s exciting to see Marni Reti taking this to new places.

I’ve been travelling through Mparntwe for the better part of the past year, working with MRN Construction in their Alice yard to deliver the new Utopia Art Centre.

Bobbie Bayley and Owen Kelly hosted me this time and showed me the true cultural hub that Alice has to offer. Not spending extended periods of time in town, I hadn’t fully grasped the extent of this. I got to connect with the incredible architects, designers and CDOs from Central Land Council to understand the innovative and inspiring projects happening on the ground.

Thanks to EmAGN WA – Emerging Architects and Graduates Network (WA) for giving me the opportunity to speak again on behalf of Kaunitz Yeung Architecture.

Can’t wait to be back out on Arrernte Country to finish our projects and catch up with the lovely new colleagues. – Marni Reti
